Uniforms, promotional clothing - COTY PRESTIGE and CALVIN KLEIN COSMETICS

PCL have been supplying Calvin Klein cosmetics with a formal uniform for their staff since 2003. Their uniform is distributed to Department Stores both in the UK and also throughout the world including the USA and Russia.

The original uniform consisted of a specially designed shift dress. This was manufactured in the UK in order to guarantee continuity for repeat orders of smaller quantities. We also supplied bootcut trousers and a long-line jacket. The staff also wore a simple quality black t-shirt with a boat neck and three-quarter length sleeves incorporating a small self-colour Calvin Klein embroidery.

The Jacket and trousers were chosen from our easycare stock range of suiting, made from an extremely comfortable and durable fabric. Both items are fully washable. The dress was a bespoke design, however, we were able to use the same fabric as the stock garments to ensure the correct match.

This uniform was extremely popular throughout the workforce.

In 2005, Calvin Klein Cosmetics, then owned by Unilever, were bought by Coty Prestige. PCL were approached, together with several of our competitors, and given a new uniform brief to meet.

Following a number of meetings, PCL were chosen to supply the new uniform for Calvin Klein Cosmetics and also for Lancaster.

The fabric we had previously used for the old uniforms proved so popular that Coty Prestige chose to use it again. This time, the styles have been updated and they are wearing a short single button jacket and parallel leg trouser.

We also designed and developed a new blouse for Coty, made from a technical fabric called Meryl, which is breathable and wicks away moisture, so is extremely comfortable to work in.

This uniform has been supplied to staff working in Department Stores throughout the UK and we hold a stock of these garments to enable us to quickly fulfil ongoing requirements.
